Memorial Resolution

Whereas, it was with great sadness and a deep sense of loss that word was received of the death of Sabu Shake on December 5, 1998, a distinguished Monterey resident, whose character and deeds in life merit gratitude and respectful acknowledgement by the people of California; and

Whereas, The high esteem in which he was held by his loving family, his numerous friends, and other individuals fortunate enough to have known him stands as a testament for others who strive for the best in life, and his memory will live forever in the hearts and minds of those people who knew him; and

Resolved by Senator Bruce McPherson, That the exemplary life, outstanding achievements, and illustrious record of professional accomplishment and civic achievement of Sabu Shake be memorialized henceforth and hereafter, and that his bereaved family and friends be extended heartfelt sympathy.
